Bachelor of Arts in Technology and Information Design at College Park (InfoDesign)

The Bachelor of Arts in Technology and Information Design at College Park (InfoDesign) degree requires a total of 120 credits, including 40 credits in General Education and 45 credits in the Technology and Information Design major. In addition to the ten core courses, 15 credits (five courses) of upper-level major electives are required to complete the Technology and Information Design degree.

Benchmark Courses set students up for success in the program and create foundational knowledge. Courses include Design Across Campus, Intro to Programming for Information Science, Innovation Tools and Mindsets, and more.

Major Core Courses allow students to become experts in the field, with courses like Designing Fair Systems, Prototyping and Development Technologies Studio, and Cross-disciplinary Design Communication Lab.

Major Electives allow students to choose six additional elective course to tailor their education to their specific interest areas. Elective options include courses like Information User Needs and Assessment, Design and Human Disability and Aging, and Privacy, Security and Ethics for Big Data.

• In-State (Maryland resident) tuition is $5,904.50 per semester for full-time undergraduate students.
• Out-of-State (Non-Resident) tuition is $20,593.00 per semester for Non-Resident full-time undergraduate students.
• The Mandatory fees are a flat rate of $397.00 for 1-8 credit hours and $861.00 for 9+ credit hours.
